  grass-covered dunes. Its 20\,000 square miles comprise the largest area o
 f stabilized sand dunes in the Western Hemisphere and it has been recently
  described as the most intact temperate grassland on earth.\n\nThe film of
 fers an intimate portrait of the Sandhills\, presented through voices of t
 hree different communities: ecologists who study the region’s biodiversity
 \; people who live and work there\; and Native Lakota people whose ancesto
 rs were displaced to make way for American westward expansion. The Sandhil
 ls\, however\, is the main character\, and the primary voice.\n\nJohn Okee
 fe\, Ph.D.\, will join us to introduce the documentary he produced and dir
 ected. Dr. Okeefe served more than 30 years on the faculty of Creighton Un
 iversity and as Chairman of the Theology department.\n\nJoin us at DJs Dug
 out\, 114th and Dodge. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. and program at 7 p.m.
