April Field Trip
The weather this spring makes planning field trips a bit more difficult than in previous springs. For this field trip, Clem Klaphake is planning on focusing on Shorebirds in Saunders and Seward Counties.
We will meet at 7:00 a.m. at the mitigation pond parking lot on the south side of Highway 370 just west of I-80 (the first left after the street to Walmart). From there, we will head west through western Douglas County’s sod fields and then into Saunders County.
Bring a lunch if you like – we may stop at a fast food place somewhere along the way, or just bring along some granola bars. NO guarantees there will be tons of birds.
