Youth Birding Heron Haven, Kestrel talk

Saturday, May 12, 2018
10:00 am11:30 am
Heron Haven

First a short presentation on Kestrels by our very talented Bob Wells, then the outdoor birding experience will take us throughout Heron Haven, one of Douglas County’s best urban birding hotspots. Owls migrate too, so we’ll celebrate spring migration by dissecting owl pellets. Gross, but so very fun. (This is a good location to look at a map first. When turning off 120th, just past the Maple intersection you’ll make a very quick right, be ready.)

For those of you new to Audubon, this group is composed of youth ranging in age from 8 to 19. Younger youth must be accompanied by an adult. There is no formality or annual time requirement to enjoy this group experience. Drop in, come give it a try. It’s a fun bonding experience for you and your favorite youth.
