Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge will be hosting 46th Annual Eagle Days on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The refuge is located about 100 miles south of Omaha in northwest Missouri near Mound City.
There will be “Eagle Shows” by The World Bird Sanctuary staff each hour at the refuge headquarters. The Visitors Center will also be open and Friends of Loess Bluffs and other conservation partners will have outreach tables on display inside. Spend the rest of the day touring and stopping along the 10 mile driving loop through the refuge wetlands to spot eagles, other birds and wildlife that may include trumpeter swans, geese, ducks, and shore birds. Bring cameras and binoculars!
