For ease of use for teachers with multiple entries, this listing is organized first by school/organization or family name, then grade, then Student's last name. Note: if your student's name is misspelled here please send corrections by email to vstauffer@audubonomaha.org and we will update as soon as possible.
Student Art Show and Awards Ceremony Saturday, April 11, 2026
The Student Art Show and Awards Ceremony will be held at Creighton University's Harper Center. The Student Art Show is open to all student artists and their families, as well as teachers and Audubon Society of Omaha members. Award Ceremonies will be held in the auditorium, at different times for 3 different grade groups:
Student Art Show: Opens for viewing at 12 noon.
Grades K-3: Awards Ceremony starts at 1 p.m.
Grades 4-6: Awards Ceremony starts at 2 p.m.
Grades 7-12: Awards Ceremony starts at 3 p.m.
Artwork, Ribbon and Prize Pick Up
Everyone who earns an Award of Merit or Excellence Award will receive a ribbon and a prize specially selected for the student's grade during the Awards Ceremony. Winners of Best in Show will also receive an additional ribbon and a gift card to Blick Art Materials.
Artwork, prizes and ribbons need to be picked up by the student, teacher or parent on the day of the Art Show at each Awards Ceremony. Please contact Virginia Stauffer at vstauffer@audubonomaha.org if you need to make alternate arrangements.
Location and Parking
The 2026 Art Show and Awards Ceremonies will be held at the Harper Center on the Creighton University Campus located at 602 N. 20th Street. All student artwork will be displayed in the atrium area and the Awards Ceremonies will be held in the auditorium.
Attendees may park in designated spaces for visitors OR on the top level at 2106 Cass Street, however parking spaces are limited, so please consider car-pooling if possible. You should plan for extra travel time as public parking may not be available nearby.
This contest is organized by volunteers who are members of the Audubon Society of Omaha. Our organization is dedicated to the active promotion of environmental awareness to our community through education, conservation, and enjoyment of our natural heritage, especially birds.
If you are interested in our student art contest and would like to volunteer, please contact sshepherd@audubonomaha.org. There are many volunteer opportunities that require only a 2-3 hour commitment.
