Monday, December 18, 2017
Various locations

**Please note this is a date change**

The 118th running of the Omaha national/international Christmas Bird Count will be held on Monday, December 18 (NOT Saturday, December 16). It is held in Bellevue, NE / Glenwood, IA within a 15 mile diameter circle centered on the Base Lake east of Offutt AFB. The circle is divided into quadrants, two on the Nebraska side and two on the Iowa side. There are four quadrant captains and as many volunteers as possible to give a good coverage of the area. Birders of all levels are welcome. New birders will be put with experienced counters.

Please consider joining this year’s CBC. You can count a half or full day with vigorous or gentle hiking, or mostly car birding. The count begins between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. depending on quadrant assignment.

If you wish to volunteer to help with the count, please register below.

To thank the many volunteers that make this bird count possible, ASO is providing dinner at the main office (42nd and Center - Center Street Mall, 1941 S 42nd St, Level 1 - Lowest Level) after the bird count at 5pm.
