Spring Bird Walk at Heron Haven Wildlife Sanctuary

Celebrate Spring with Audubon Society of Omaha as we partner with a volunteer from Heron Haven Wetland Sanctuary for this special guided bird ID tour. This sanctuary is a spring-fed wetland and one of the last oxbow wetlands of the Big Papillion Creek. Heron Haven is home to a variety of animals- mammals, amphibians, fish and lots of BIRDS! The trails we will navigate are dirt packed and while mostly flat, please wear sturdy footwear in the event of potential uneven surfaces. Dress in layers for variable spring weather. Bring your own water plus anything else you might need for the morning on the trail and don't forget your binoculars! (There will be a limited supply of binoculars to borrow, first come, first serve). An indoor restroom will also be made available.
